The New Albany Arts Council sponsors two music groups in the community, the New Albany Chorus and New Albany Community Band.
The New Albany Chorus was founded in 1993 and performs all over Central Ohio at community functions and celebrations. Members of the NA Chorus hail from many central Ohio communities, range in age from high schoolers to octogenarians, and new members are always welcome. The New Albany Community Band formed in 2007 and made their debut at New Albany Shines!, a gala performance celebrating the opening of the Jeanne B. McCoy Center for the Arts.
The New Albany Community Band is seeking adult musicians on all instruments to join the organization as it prepares for its fourth concert season.
The band rehearses in the band room at New Albany High School, 7600 Fodor Road, New Albany, OH, on Monday evenings from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m.
The New Albany Community Band operates under the auspices of the New Albany Arts Council. Darren Falk is the founder and director of the band. Mr. Falk says that adult players on all instruments are welcome.
